Are you growing tired of commuting to your workplace in a corporate park? Here’s an idea. How about living in the corporate park?

That’s what residents of LaVida Apartments will do starting this month, when the first luxury lakefront rental residences open in Miami’s most distinguished corporate park.

More than 12,000 working professionals and corporate executives work in the Blue Lagoon corporate center and surrounding areas, including the downtown Miami medical park, Miami International Airport and Doral’s growing business center. The eight-story, 272-unit LaVida Apartments will offer them an alternative to traditional commuting, one with compelling lake and city views, premium penthouse collection and resort-style clubhouse and pool. The array of units includes one-, two and three-bedroom homes extending in size from 728 to 1,295 square feet, all with outdoor terraces. Top floors offer scintillating south-facing perspectives.

 High-end finishes

Among the features and finishes of the apartments are Italian-crafted kitchens, quartz countertops, Energy Star-rated luxury appliances, full-size stackable washer and dryer and porcelain-tiled bathrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer sunrise and lake views.

“LaVida living is where convenience meets luxury,” said Richard Finkelstein, partner with Boca Raton, Fla-based Ascend Properties, which teamed with Miami-based Pinnacle Housing Group to create LaVida Apartments.

“Living in the heart of one of Miami’s most prominent business parks encourages residents to manage a better work-life balance
, and embrace the Miami lifestyle in their own backyard with resort-style swimming pool, outdoor amenities, lakefront activities and more.”

Among the common-area extras to which Finkelstein refers are a two-story lakefront clubhouse, fitness center with yoga studio and group class space, hourglass-configured swimming pool, resort-style sun deck, poolside cabanas, day beds, outdoor grills, gourmet coffee bar, media room, Wi-Fi in all common areas, dog park and garage parking.

Avoiding long commutes

LaVida is located at the intersection of the 826 Expressway/Palmetto Expressway and the 836 Expressway/Dolphin Expressway. Residents will be minutes from Miami International Airport, Doral, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, downtown, Wynwood and Brickell. Result: They will be able to readily access retail, restaurants, recreation and art museums and galleries.

Among the retailers, restaurants and attractions nearby are the Coral Gables Miracle Mile; Hillstone Restaurant, Brickstone, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Fooq’s and Mr. and Mrs. Bun; Perez Art Museum Miami, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Everglades Holiday Park, Buffalo Tigers Everglades Airboat Tours and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

“LaVida will fulfill a need for the fast-growing number of working professionals tired of spending so many hours on long commutes,” said Michael Wohl, partner with Pinnacle Housing Group and Ascend Properties.

“Residents are walking distance to jobs in Blue Lagoon and are very proximate to I-95, downtown and Brickell, Doral and Coral Gables. With Miami International Airport just minutes away, LaVida is also ideal for those working professionals who travel often, whether for business or pleasure.”

Pre-grand opening rents range from $1,699 to $2,599 monthly. Construction will be complete this month.

Financing was provided by IberiaBank in New Orleans and Arbor Realty Trust in Manhattan.

In creating LaVida, the decision-makers at the helm of Ascend Properties were guided not only by their more than century as South Florida residents, but by their experience building, managing and owning rental apartments and multifamily communities across Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties, as well as being the force behind Orlando Metroplex. Company officials report the philosophy underpinning the company is that a residence should do more than provide good shelter. It should elevate every facet of residents’ lives.

“LaVida aims to create the ideal live-work community in the heart of one of Miami’s largest business parks,” Wohl concludes. “With first-class units, high-quality amenities and central, lakefront location, LaVida will transform the way working professionals view the Blue Lagoon community.”
