Affordable housing open in Lynn Haven

LYNN HAVEN — The past year was tough for Cristina Castillo.
After she lost her Lynn Haven apartment because of Hurricane Michael damage in 2018, Castillo bounced around a bit before finding a small trailer in Vernon. For the last year, she lived there with her young son and drove more than an hour to work in Panama City each day.
“It was an awful year ... I spent a lot of time driving,” Castillo said.
Then last month her former Lynn Haven apartment complex, Pinnacle at Hammock Place, called with the news she’d been waiting to hear — that a refurbished apartment had opened at last.
